You’ve got a great B2B app or online system that is going to change the world! Or at least the part of it that’s going to make you a small fortune. You’re a talented tech guy building the thing (or one of you is), and maybe you’ve got a strong sales person on your team. You’ve got a bit of seed funding, or are about to agree it. But what you’re missing is the commercial knowledge and experience to get inside your clients’ minds and understand how the product will really change things for them.
That’s where I can help. I’ll join your board part time as Product Director, helping you set the direction for your product and ensure it meets your needs, and giving you credible, experienced input to your sales process to help build trust and show your clients how you’re going to elevate their businesses.
What this looks like
Initial Discovery
We’ll start with a deep dive into your product, business and projections. I’ll ask a lot of questions about things like your target market and how you’re going to reach them, and what your roadmap is for the product. How are you going to deliver and scale the product, and how will you support your customers?
I can write this up for you, if you don’t already have all of this documented.
There is the option just to pay for this discovery as a fixed price piece of work, if you’re not sure you’re ready to commit on an ongoing basis.
Ongoing Work
I’ll join your board as a director, and work with you on a part-time basis (typically 4-8 hours a week, depending on the need), to guide you and help you keep to your plan, and grow the business how you want to.
A monthly fee will be agreed, which could be cash only or could be cash plus a share of equity, subject to negotiation.
Why me?
I have over 28 years of experience implementing software for organisations of all sizes.
My strength is bridging the gap between technology and business. I understand how businesses work, and I also understand software, and what makes software companies tick. I can bring an understanding of the human factors affecting tech adoption to your business, and the commercial reality of running a business.
